The Grammy nominated Godfathers of alternative cabaret return to their beloved Berlin for four shows only!
Expect dark and deviant theatrics in this new concert inspired by one of the greatest storytellers of them all, William Shakespeare. It’s all here - the madness of Hamlet, the murders of Macbeth and the flights of fantasy of The Tempest.
The Tiger Lillies will also include many of their own most famous songs from the macabre mind of lead singer Martyn Jacques!
Over the course of their long and lauded career the Brechtian street-opera trio have taken inspiration from many corners of the literary world – from Hoffman’s Struwwelpeter to Alfred Döblin’s Berlin Alexanderplast, Georg Büchner’s Woyzeck and Frank Wederkind’s lulu along with the twisted tales of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe.
With an international reputation for being one of the foremost avant-garde bands in the world, Olivier award winners The Tiger Lillies never cease to surprise, shock and entertain with their inimitable musical style, conjuring up the macabre magic of pre-war Berlin and fusing it with the savage edge of punk.
